Hi guys! Well, my lie-in was ruined this morning. I was quietly snoozing on the housekeeper's pillow, planning on a leisurely morning, perhaps watching a bit of TV and listening to some music when Whoa! I got picked up and stuffed in an aquarium with a load of stupid crickets! Honestly, how annoying is that? Now I am sitting here just waiting to get out and continue my snooze. The stupid insects are climbing all over me and sitting on my head would you believe. I am not amused.
p.s. I don't think I'll do a poo today.
Dirty Plates - by Douglas
Now this is beginning to tire me. What happened to clean plates? Doesn't the housekeeper know that food smells horrible if you put it on a dirty plate? I'm not an alley cat you know.
Bank Holidays - by Ernie
I went round the salon this morning and nobody had turned up! What's that all about? Emily said it was a bank holiday whatever that is. All I know is, I couldn't get in and that meant no decent food today. Also, no wash and blow dry (which I do like to have on a Monday).
Family Disruption - by Emily
I will be glad when the bank holiday is over. All our routines have been messed up and the younger ones are beginning to argue. The housekeeper didn't even get out of bed till lunchtime.
Nuffing to do wiv me - by Mole
I'm just sitting here minding my own business.

Cat Club
Miri-Miri and her friends live together in a nice house in a nice town that smells of cowpats. They like hay and insects and all manner of vegetables. There are the cats, the guinea pigs, the dead rabbit, Miri-Miri the dragon and the crickets but she is a bit fickle about them. Sometimes she lets them ride on her back but if it is dinner time then they are on the menu.
Douglas is the oldest cat in the house. He is the Head of the Household and is in complete control. However, he is apt these days to let his henchmen sort out domestic disputes. As long as he can get his brushing sessions and the best spot in the cupboard he is happy enough.
Emily is the mother of the house. She is the smallest cat but she inherited this position when her predecessor TiffyPlumpkin died in the autumn of 2006. Emily may look weak but she can be tough.
Mole is Emily's son. He is very fond of his mother but he can be wayward so she does need to give him a clip round the ear'ole every now and then.
Ellie, the mad grey, is still settling in. She has been settling in for two years now. Nobody understands her. She leads a traumatic life and the whole world is out to get her.
Bertie is the nuisance of the neighbourhood. He has a rather bad habit which resulted in he and his brother being banished from their home. Bertie investigated every house in the neighbourhood and marked them all efficiently which resulted in closed doors and windows so he settled down at the cat club as an affiliate and eventually became upgraded to resident.
Ernie is Bertie's brother. He moved into the club a few months ago, having started out in the garden accommodation while he made up his mind. Ernie is the most independent cat in the household. He has a job at the local hairdresser. He goes every day except Sunday when they are closed. He has all his meals there on work days. He is a diligant cat and comes home exhausted after a hard day of cuddles with the hairdressing stylists. He smells very nice.
Benjie is an Affiliate member of the club rather than an official resident. He has a home above the working men's club but spends most of his time at the cat club just chilling. Or sitting in doorways impeding everyone else's passage about the house. He is very large and rather dangerous.
SugarPlum and SweetiePop are mainly interested in green beans and whether you might have one attached to your fingers. Otherwise, they like hay.
Mr Rabbit is dead. He is in the garden in a hole lined with slate.
This blog is their story.
